Chinese New Year Project1

I have stopped for so long never blog. Busy for the shop and kids, especially 2010, my elder daughter started standard 1 and changed by daily schedule thoroughly. Belated Happy New Year to everyone and also Happy Chinese New Year. Although I never blog for so long, but I am still busy with my project. I have finished 4 projects together for my Chinese New Year. Hooray!!! Here we go..........

This is a "Car Project" means almost 80% of this project I did it in the car while waiting for traffic lights and waiting for my girl after school. I will only crochet in the car because there is no dropping stitch for crochet. I really like to crochet with Java because of the texture and easily to handle compared to knitting with Java.

For quite sometime I never blogging because I don't have any finished project to show out. Finally the smocking dress for my girl is out. The smocking section really take me a lot of time especially hiding the ends of so many threads made me so frustrated, almost 50 pieces of different color of thread need me to hide, so boring........

GONG XI FA CAI to every friend who is reading my blog. It seems like a bit late, but better than none. I have many projects on hand but just don't have time to take photo for them. I can only share one of the WIP which is for my daughter, this project is quite hard for a knitter like me because I don't have time at all to sit down and do smocking, but at last I have finished the smocking part. Another project for my Genting Highland trip. I found that my son also don't have a sweater or vest, I felt quite guilty because I always knit only for myself and my daughter, immediately I took up the most chunky yarn that I have and take up 12mm needle to knit one vest with hoop for him. Luckily I able to finish in 4 days. It is a bit long and even my daughter can wear it.

As a Poncho

My own family members planned to bring all the children to Genting Highland but last minute only I found that my little boy and myself don't have sweater at all. Actually this is quite silly for a person who knitted up for more than 20 years and don't have a single sweater for myself because I only do cotton work. I took one week to finish 2 projects, that is a vest for my son and a shrug/poncho/muffler for myself. Because of only one week, I decided to pick up the thickest yarn that I have and used up 12mm needle to do it. I took 3 days to finish my shrug and 4 days for my son's vest.

Mini Bolero

My little girl always want me to knit a bolero for her, I have shortlisted about 8 projects on bolero and plan to do all for her in different colors. This is the first one for her and it is a crochet project. It is quite fast since it is small and crochet in No. 5 thread. It looks quite nice on her.

Muffler for a friend

This is the first time I knit Muffler cum Hood. It is quite nice especially in the cold weather. The yarn I used is Online Linie 149 Rush Color 05. I used up 5 balls of the yarn. It is a very fast project, I only take 5 days to finish it because I used 9mm jumbo needle to do that.

Time to have a blog

I wish to have a blog for quite sometime, but just no time to do that. Recently I able to knit and crochet again quite frequent and completed some projects. Therefore I think this is the right time for me to blog. I will post my completed projects later.
